Disclaimer: I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review. This book opens up with a good story line. The relationship between the brother and sister was very potent and I liked how they communicated; how to deeply attached they are to each other. The basis of mystery is laid out very well. Each chapter has enough gusto to keep you turning pages. However, one thing that I couldn't absorb was the fact that the main character is written as way too gullible, especially keeping in mind his past, about which not much information is given, but is hinted as a bit wild. Considering this and how much he has gone thru regarding racism, I would have assumed him to be written as a bit more cynical and cautious of people in general. But its a good a mystery, no one seems as they are and its fast paced. If you are looking for a short and good mystery read then this book will serve the purpose.
