"This book has everything: friends-to-lovers, matriarchal werewolf societies, and murder." I thoroughly enjoyed it! My understanding is that this series will be a love letter not only to werewolves, but also the cities that shelter them. The author nails how Seattle really is a place where Old-world has an uneasy alliance with New (which also describes its werewolf dens). How's the sex? STEAMY, KINKY, + just the right amount of bestiality. I'm a sucker for friends-to-lover, and this book does not disappoint! Also, the ladies ROCK, y'all. They have the power, but they're also complex, charming, terrifying, and really damn charismatic. I also like how Marcus (our main man) was a badass, but squishy/sweet on the inside. If you dig paranormal romance with a slice of murder mystery, than this is for you! There are serious JD Robb vibes, and the inherent danger just makes things that much more titillating! I'm over the moon about this book, and can't wait for the next one.
