I love the emotional angst and pull this book has. Ms. Knight brings the right amount of BDSM to bring a great book to another level. You really do have to read these books in order, Kyle's story is also sprinkled into this story, and if you do not know his story you will be lost. There are scenes or flash backs more likely of past events that some readers might find too much. For me I loved knowing and understand Corey, he is stronger than even he knows. When you want a sensual, fiery story this is the one to pick up.

These two just worked, both nervous because of past mistakes, both in a place were they want a companion first, and the rest will fall into place.

If you like books about BDSM, or books that are passionate, slow building love stories and cute little twinks riding on the back of the bear’s Harley, you will like this one. Heck even if you don’t normally like BDSM I think you’ll really like this series. It is a series that must be read in order though, each book a continuation. So if you haven’t read Building Bonds please start there.

You do have to read these books in order. I quickly figured out what Morticia was doing here. She’s writing a series where every character, as she writes them, will be vitally important the overall building of this series. Gavin and Kyle opened it up. We met them and other characters and when we meet Corey for the first time in this book, and see he’s being paired up with Derek, we already know the type of character Derek is. All these characters help each other. Corey comes to them emotionally abused. He had a very bad Dom and fears the lifestyle he once loved. Morticia handles the challenges Derek must face in helping Corey beautifully. Again her respect for the lifestyle is commendable.

Review 1: The blurb tells you the basics of the story but what it doesn’t tell you is how wonderful to Corey Derek is. Another great book and I can’t wait to see what is next in this series.

Review 2: Overall, this was a great way to introduce people to the world of BDSM – it’s not heavy, but it does show that a responsible relationship has give and take, rules that are talked about and a deep respect for each other.

The returning cast of the series add to their story and we keep in contact with them, learning more and updating on where they are but always without taking away from the two MC’s, as it should be. A really enjoyable read and responsible handling of a subject that many get wrong, with sexy goodness and a motorbike ride all rolled together.

I did like when the subs were altogether, supporting each other. I am sure this isn’t the last we will see of Derek and Corey. The author has finished their story at the start of their happiness, making me think there is lots more to come from both couples. Overall a great read that I didn’t want to end.

I really enjoy these BDSM books because they are so considerate. This story deals with a sub who had been violated/raped by a Dom, and the healing in the new relationship. Corey is young, 22 y/o, and had recently fled a D/s relationship to take refuge with his childhood friend, David. Master Derek is asked to care for Corey, until David return to LA. In the meantime life happens. Corey's not happy living with a stranger, but Derek is so kind, so open, he grows to trust him. Derek is a large, intimidating man, but sensitive. He is attracted to Corey, and knows something horrible happened with his last lover/Dom. There's a lot of want on both sides, and also fear. Derek's fallen for young, materialistic subs, and Corey doesn't want to be hurt again. They are honest with each other, and that vulnerability is yummy. I liked how they dealt with Corey's night terrors and the closeness they built without becoming sexually physical. There's a bit of sexytimes, and those scenes were tender.

A delightful tale of two men coming to see what is right in front of their faces. Beautifully done, and so steeped in passion, care and love, that the reader cannot help but be delighted at the eventual outcome. Some lovely humour through the book makes this a very enjoyable read.

I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Oh, I so loved this installment. Watching Derek and Corey find their way together was wonderful, but seeing Corey be able to help Kyle was amazing. It was magnificent having all the characters back together and I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you, Morticia!
