Review by The Divas of Desire

There’s a lot to enjoy in the story: hot and smexy sex, intrigue, excitement, and a peek into the lives of the rich and famous. What really stuck with me was the theme of love vs. obsession and the difference between what we think we know vs. reality. I recommend Photograph for a fascinating, somewhat unusual romantic read.

Initially, Photograph is a hard book to get into because of Tara’s personality. Stick with it because it’s so very worth it. The heroine’s character growth is significant and powerful, the drama and excitement that the author infused at certain key points in the story were well written and gripping and set fire to the plot movement. The growing attraction between Ryan and Tara was a complex love dance that ultimately culminated in a soon to be HEA.

The intimate encounters were varied and always well placed, not to mention delightfully hot. The happily ever after is intricate and substantial and it tied up some loose ends making it a wonderful way to end the story. It’s not a fairy tale ending; it’s the perfect ending for both Tara and Azure. If readers like character driven plots then this book fits the bill. If readers like challenging and strong female protagonists, then this is the novel to choose. Photograph has a lot to offer; pick up your own copy and see for yourself.

The writing is really good, as is the story... I did enjoy this book and would recommend reading it. The ending makes it worth getting through the rest.

  Review by Jen's Reading Obsession

At first, Tara is very hard to sympathize with.  She has not spoken to her sister in two years, after Azure betrays her by marrying Liam, the man Tara is infatuated with.  Azure wants to repair their relationship and invites Tara on a two month cruise, and bowing to parental pressure, Tara agrees to go with plans to seduce Liam.  But things aren't always what they seem.  Tara has been keeping a secret from Azure, a secret that could threaten their new and fragile relationship.  As the book progresses, you see the changes in Tara and her feelings for her sister, Liam and newcomer Ryan.  A great love story with an HEA that shows you that sometimes you have to let go of the past to see your future.

Emotionally driven, the story concentrates on the sister's relationship…The narration delves into the sister's minds…

A model of modern chivalry, Ryan is the type of guy that romance fans enjoy reading about and see wins the girl's heart.

With an absolutely breath-taking voice, Ms Davenport pulled me into her story of secrets and desires. Very well written and crafted, Photograph is one of those stories that flows seamlessly. At first, I had the desire to know immediately what had happened in the past, but at the same time a part of me also wanted it dragged out so the shock would be sharper. Ms Davenport chose just the right moment to reveal the secret, then pitched me forward at a great pace, which meant I didn’t lose interest once the reveal arrived. As I said, very well crafted! A highly enjoyable read—and I can’t praise the voice enough. It’s rich, cultured, and just plain wonderful. I could read a thousand books a day if they were written like this one. What I also enjoyed were the descriptions—just enough to help me “see” but not too much to make me bored and want to skip. Again, that’s where the good crafting comes in. It isn’t often I find an author who ticks all the boxes for me, but Ms Davenport has made it to my “superb author” list. I mean that sincerely. Such a fine writer!
