This book had me hooked from the first page. James and Amanda's story was so compelling, I read this in one sitting. James is confident and thoughtful, assertive and caring, and I instantly loved him. He is such a gentleman - I was pulling for him from the very beginning. Amanda has a hard exterior, but only as a means to protect herself. She is insecure and obviously submissive. I connected with her right from the start and I found myself wanting to know more about her past. I was hopeful for her future. Tori Carson really shows the reader the true meaning of D/s and highlights the loving process any new couple might go through. She cuts through many preconceived notions and misconceptions floating around out there regarding BDSM, kink and D/s. If you enjoy a suspenseful love story with a D/s theme, laced with some hot BDSM sex, buy this book!
