This is a really good short read and the angst is there but not in your face to overwhelm this light read. Want a feel good read? This is it.

This cute little story was just what I was looking for. I was particularly drawn to Cal as he worked out his feelings and possessiveness for someone he only thought about as his little sister's best friend, helping Sean where he could and getting to know him in the process. Sean's heart opens up to the possibility of Cal liking him when Cal continues to help him get his life back together. He was a sweet one but somewhat down on himself, yet still was strong in Cal's eyes. I liked seeing the different points of views between Sean and Cal, with a little bit of Cassie thrown in. It's a fast, true love, and the happy ending is satisfying. The sex scenes were not numerous but nice to read. It's a short read, about 98 pages, and that was the perfect length for this story. Overall, I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to more stories from Lee.

Then Came Cal by Lee Barrows is a sweet and satisfying story about how one’s crush can become one’s man. I fell in love with Sean whose life is seemingly destroyed both personally and professionally, but gets recreated with the help of his BFF’s studly older brother Cal. Cal proves he is more than a love ‘em and leave ‘em player. Cassie as the BFF and sister to the MCs is a great character and I’d love to see how she and Sean survive when they both relocate. If you are looking for an upbeat read where the good guys actually come out ahead, this is the book for you! Barrows is a new author to me, but one I will want to read again!

Then Came Cal was a much needed pleasant surprise. The sex between these two guys was so freaking hot. I will definitely been checking out any future work by Lee Barrows, and would be thrilled if we got to see Cal and Sean again. For sure a new author to check out.

There is just something about a sweet, very hot short story that throws in hero worship and insta-lust that moves into caring, which makes me very happy. It was exactly what I needed. A little drama, a lot of steaminess, and a great happy ever after. I can definitely recommend it.

This is the author's first m/m story and given how well the story flowed, I sure hope there is more to come. I will be keeping an eye out for more, longer works from this new author.

Fun, hot and hopeful – a lovely little read, thank you Lee Barrows.

I loved Cal's strength (and could forgive his rapid turn around to suddenly wanting Sean) and I adored Sean's character, so much so, it would have been great to see them appear in a longer book. The story moved at a rapid pace with quite a dash of sex. All-in-all, a very enjoyable quick read. I'll definitely be interested to read more from this author.

A surprisingly smart, full read that left me contented and  hoping to get more of Sean and Cal. And Cassie! Whoosh, this is a whirlwind read! It felt lightning quick because it had just the right amount of tension to keep me glued to the page and enough spice to be a page turner . The sexy bits were hot, but not over done, just right.

First off the book cover is stunning, it dragged me in making me want to read the book. The title intrigued me, I want to know more about Cal, yet the blurb confused me a little… Why would Sean and Cassie need babysitting? I was sure they must be adults…..  A sweet read that shows that not all bad days stay bad, there is light at the end of the tunnel and the hope of happiness after the badness goes away… I enjoyed the authors writing style, the story flowed beautifully making it a quick and easy read. This a short story that has a beginning, middle and an ending. It is complete with no questions left unanswered though I still would like to read more from Sean, Cal and Cassie in the future...
