With each new book, I find myself becoming a bigger fan of Ms. Nielsen’s and Family Connections is no different.  This is a story that will pull the reader in from the very beginning.  All the characters are well written and the story line is one that will keep you wondering what will happen next.

The bond these two men form is a tight one and they have no problems bringing those they love into their family.  These secondary characters are just as wonderful as the main ones.  Each and every one is crazy and will have you laughing out loud at times.  This is not a light hearted story as there are some dark subjects touched on that will break your heart. These moments are important to the story and the author handles the situations very well.

This is one book that those who love the m/m genre should really pick up as you will not be disappointed.

This story included drama, ex-lovers, the true meaning of family and how to love unconditionally. Thoroughly enjoyed the story from beginning to end.

If you like soap operas and would love to read a literary one you don’t need go no further, this is the book for you! All these not-so-minor characters are wonderful and certainly make for a colourful life, trust me, you’ll be counting off the nine children as you get towards the end as well. To try to frame this book in pop culture, I’m going to say it’s a bit Brady Bunch with a bit of Friends with a splash of Pride and Prejudice. Strange as the latter may seem, if you don’t believe me, read it.
