Review by Mrs Condit Reads Books

It’s a thrilling story with plenty of twists and turns. I enjoyed the breathtaking pace of the book. The characters are well developed and even minor characters are critical to the story. If you haven’t read the previous two books in the series I recommend them to you but you will be able to enjoy Recruited even if you haven’t read the other two. Mr. Stone is a favorite author and this book cements his place in my library as an autobuy.

Those enamoured with protective males, this is the series for you.

Mr. Stone's writing is smooth and enjoyable. His forte is character development and plot twists. This story did keep me guessing time after time. He throws in several red herrings. This is fun because it is a lesson that everyone has a story about why they do something. For a person to assume why another person does something based on little glimpses into their life may lead to false conclusions.

This book was an interesting read. It did not go where I expected it to go, but I loved every minute of the ride. Stone broke formula, both “romance” formula, and patterns he had set with the first two books in the Uniformity series.

I found tears pricking my eyes and my heart strings tugging for Hoss when he loses Joey.

I was immensely happy that Stone found that HEA for Dylan without taking any undue liberties.

This was such a good read. I flew through this book.  I sat down to read and was surprised when it was over.  I couldn’t believe that it flew so fast.  So if you have a want a good, solid read and want to be taken on a great trip, this is the book for you.

  Review by The Novel Approach

Ethan Stone has once again taken us on a guided tour of the correctional system and even farther beyond to the adjustment period some ex-cons struggle with once they are out. Dylan was an all around good guy who found himself in a bad situation that landed him in jail. He made the decision to keep his head down, do his time and eventually rebuild his life. It was wonderful to get to see him do this, and even more, throughout this story. He was able to rejoin his family, find work and even learn to accept his own new truth about his sexuality.

I would highly recommend this book, and I would recommend reading the previous two books since they do give some examples of Dylan’s personality, and I loved both of those books as well.

  Review by Joyfully Jay

It’s a wonderfully layered, involved story from beginning to end. When I started reading, I kept thinking that it would be a simple mystery/romance. But simple doesn’t even come close. The twists and turns and the many things I didn’t see coming are what makes this book so amazing. This author has a way with shock and awe, and I, for one, loved every heart pounding, thrilling, emotionally charged moment of this book.

I highly recommend Recruited as well as the entire Uniformity series.
