Superheroes come in many shapes and sizes, but they don’t usually have issues all their own – at least not with the ways their power works. In ‘Saving the Day’ there is a price to pay every time the main character uses his powers – very similar to the way some magic talents seem to work, at least in fiction. It made the story more interesting, and I liked the fact that Kent (LOL about using that name!) had to think about what he was doing and how he was using his powers. It made him more human and the story slightly more “realistic” – if there is such a thing in the world of superpowers. It also increased the suspense!

If you like stories about superheroes who are as human as the next person, if you want to see someone deal with an ability that has great potential for good – but even greater potential to hurt its owner, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read with a different take on superpowers, then you will probably like this short story.
