Breaking Point is gritty. It deals with the guilt and violence. It deals with secrets and lies. It deals with one man’s descent into his own personal hell. Breaking Point is heartbreaking. It is violent. It is a struggle to read. That struggle stems from how much I love these two main characters. I want them to have that happy ending. However, they have to work hard for it. They have to examine themselves and their relationship. When you finish reading Breaking Point, you know that Matt and Kira are in a good place, finally. However, you will want to continue to series to see how they finally get their HEA.

I love Breaking Point. It should be no surprise to you. If I could give this book more than five stars, I would. I absolutely adore Matt and Kira. This story is more than I ever wished for, and now I’m crossing my fingers again in hopes that this will not be the last I see of Matt and Kira. I highly, highly recommend Breaking Point by N.R. Walker.

This book greatly surpassed my expectations.  And I really do hope we might see more of Matt and Kira in the future.  They both have some interesting hurdles to cross, coming up, and I would love to see how they do it. Together.  This book made me happy and tense and heartsick almost always at once.  You need to read this—though make sure that you’ve already gone through book one (it will make for a more enjoyable read if you have the groundwork for this story).  Just remember that while Matt can be a stubborn idiot, he can also be unfailingly loyal and worth the effort to love.

Kira is awesome, and with his spectacular mother and wonderful father it is not surprising that he turned into such an amazing man. He was exactly the man that Matt needed to get his life back on track. The unconditional love between them was simply beautiful.
I was glad that Kira saw the pain that was inside Matt (at the end) and didn’t hold it against him, like he had every right to. Matt was one lost puppy and had Kira left him for good then Matt would not have recovered. There would be a book 3 where he would be found dead, no doubt. Mitch came through at the end, and the rest of the guys too, but I am still mad that they left him unprotected for so long.

So where does Matt go from here? I guess we will have to wait for Turning Point #3 and find out. I, for one, can not wait.

NR Walker has crafted an amazing story. Matt, Kira, Yumi (Kira’s sweet and feisty mom) jump off the page and take you along with them. In fact, Yumi and her husband (who is deaf and signs most of his conversations) have the funniest exchange of the book.

I strongly suggest you start with book one in this series. It’s ‘Point of No Return’ and shows Matt and Kira coming together. You’ll want to see what happens before you find out if NR Walker tears them apart.

If you like strong characters who turn in impressive performances, this book will definitely be on your TBR pile and it will be there soon.

This was a painful story to read, because Matt and Kira have such a respectful, loving relationship. To see them struggling and losing touch with each other really shook me to the core. I suffered right along with them, going through a myriad of emotions, even crying at times. Although full of angst, it is a beautiful, well-written, story reminding us of what can happen when we are out of touch with our feelings and that trust is essential to a good relationship. I definitely recommend this to those who read the first book in the series and to readers who may not have had the pleasure of meeting Matt and Kira. It's well worth the emotionally charged journey to be able to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much, N.R.! Well done.
