Jasmine Hill - Totally Bound blog post

The King of Infierno for the Totally 5 Star imprint has been my favourite novel to write. Of course, first, I had to look at the imprint composition and the storyline and assess whether it was going to work for me. I read the Totally 5 Star requirements and thought — this is me — I want to write a novel for this imprint!

Jen: Please tell us about your newest release and where the idea came from.
Jasmine:  My newest release is called The King of Infierno. I wrote it for Totally Bound’s new Totally 5 Star imprint. I love the idea around this imprint —a luxury hotel chain with hotels in fabulous locations around the world. I’m Australian but I currently live in Madrid and it’s such a beautiful city that it seemed a perfect setting for my hotel and novel.

What can we expect from The King of Infierno?

To be swept away by the romance and of course the eroticism! You’ll feel anxious, excited and dying to turn that next page. I want you to lose yourself in the story and imagine that you are the one staying in a luxury hotel with a very hot and dominant alpha male — where you can also almost feel the bite of a large palm on your backside as he introduces you to the erotic pleasure/pain of a spanking…

When I tell people that I’m an author, one of the first questions they ask is — what do you write? Invariably, the second is —where do you get your inspiration?

Jasmine Hill - Clitical Interview

Just as your books inspire authors, what authors have inspired you to write?
I recall at fourteen, reading Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights and falling in love with the story of Catherine and Heathcliff. Soon after, I read Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and I was smitten, staying up until the early hours of the morning to devour the entire book!

I’d have to say that both authors inspired in me a love of the classics and of romance and definitely inspired me to write.

You enjoy travelling in your spare time, so where is your favourite place?

I love Europe, particularly Italy where I lived for a period in a classic medieval Hill Town. It is so rich with history and the countryside is amazing…
